The Paradist, 2019 - 2020

A loose reinterpretation of Dante’s Inferno centered on the Absurd Buster Keaton-esque character the Paradist. Acted by the artist, dressed in Hawaiian Camo and flying a bouquet of golf clubs, the Paradist is fever dream of morbidity and humor. In each short video and vignette, he navigates an underworld of suburban abandonment, vacation violence, in an attempt to escape from a colonial past and its impact on the present.
